Manjo the wrestler |

Manjo is still a good friend of mine which used to be my manager to the administration and also a colleague at the Photo shop. He was a wrestling addict at that time way back at 2006. As I remember it was the era of wrestling for Sri Lanka. One out of three of the population were talking about wrestling and almost all of them were addicted to wrestling events badly. There were versions of games and the VCDs were orderly indexed. So when they were referring a particular game, they used the number of the VCD. Those numbers were so much popular among them and was remembered well.
My friend was not that much on to it but he talked too much about it. Sometimes becoming a headache to us. So I created this poster for him on his birthday. We had a monthly issue of a comic article called "KOLLO" at the time and this poster was given as a supplementary poster to celebrate his birthday. He enjoyed it to his most and told me that the knees of himself at the poster, would break as he jump off to his opponent at the ring.
This is done using Adobe Photoshop as an experiment. And the methods I used became unthoughtfully helpful for my work later on.

Googlization |

Hope you all are familiar with Google+ social network. Still we are not in a through discussion about what's gonna happen, but there are some clues mentioning that google is going to integrate all their services in to G+ network. With that, a new era with new dimensions is going to begin in excess to the revolution of Facebook, connecting the internet communities together.
Isn't that the modern version of globalization, the concept which our previous generation talked with there hair straightened?

Gane's Presidential Talks |
Hope you all familiar with my good friend Mr. Ganegoda, if you are reading my other blog regularly. While working at the same place together, he was one of the key characters which caused for events for us to laugh. This picture was captured from the 2nd floor of the building by another friend named Mr. Peiris, which works there as the official photographer. This is the back side of the building and the three guys here are having a little chat about the presidential election which was on run at November, 2005. Surely Gane was there to have a smoke and those other two guys got him to talk.
So I created this with an experimental glossy effect for the texts. I needed the text to be transparent and later added the separation to get the feel of that there is a liquid inside the text.
As you can see, his election logo is a half filled glass and his election agreements are a BAR, a GROUND and a BED, which were the most important things to him.

Warenban Insurance |
This is an advertisement I did way back in 2008 while working at Image Digital, Nugegoda. Just for the enjoyment of visualizing a crazy idea. The Idea was originally came from my good friend Mr. Ravi Wickramasinghe, a photographer with a scene of humor and an ability to talk about various things seriously. It's about an insurance policy which offers the benefits of your insurance plan to the 1st member of your 4th generation. Actually this was created to turn down the insurance agencies which frighten the people with unexpected future crises regarding their own lives!

connected!
This is not an original idea. I have seen this kind of an illustration somewhere way back. We are connected in a matter and hence loosen the connection. Well the philosophical stuff is yet to be discussed but here is a partial view of the scenario.

The God Lasinghe -
